RavensFilm Productions is seeking songs for inclusion in our feature-length thriller "The Fixer," currently in post-production. We are also looking for songs that might be used in our trailers. The type of songs vary from classic & hard rock for a series of bar scenes to some heavy metal tracks to brooding, omnious pop/rock tracks used throughout the film. Reference artists such as Glenn Frey, The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers, Alice in Chains, Metallica, Tool, Ted Nugent, Billy Idol, Phil Collins, Russ Ballard, Tangerine Dream, and Jan Hammer. Some songs will be used as merely background music, but others will be featured prominently in long sequences. The vibe of "The Fixer" is heavily influenced by the films of Michael Mann (Thief, Manhunter, Heat, Collateral) as well as the "Miami Vice" television series, and so, the style music is meant to reflect that haunting neo noir vibe. Unfortunately, no payment is possible, but there could be festival exposure down the line. No country, tencho, dance, or rap music will be considered.
Any songs that you wish to submit for consideration must be original compositions. Only accept tracks that have been properly recorded and mixed with a generally professional sound will be accepted. Please, reply with a band/artist bio, web address, and no more than three mp3 attachments. Please, keep the total attachement size under the 15 MB limit, or send files in multiple emails If your song is chosen, you will be requested to provide the song in either AIFF or WAV format. A written release form will be presented to you as well.
You may view a preview scene and the teaser trailer for the film at MySpace, YouTube, or the Official Website.
Please, send all submissions to writer/producer/editor/director Nicholas J. Michalak. You may learn about this film at the official website or MySpace page.
