A benefit folk show for the women's clinic being set up in New Orleans by Incite: Women of Color Against Violence and many other groups, and for Chicago's Pomegranate Radical Health Collective. They were given a space for a women's health clinic and community organizing center, but need additional resources to get it off the ground. Three awesome folk artists will be performing for this cause: Mojdeh, Carrie Lydon, and Nellie Eve (hear them all on myspace!). Come learn more about Pomegranate Radical Health Collective, buy a few zines or some tasty vegan sweets, and support an urgent cause. To learn more about the New Orleans clinic, see www.pomegranatecollective.org/incite.php. Two thirds of your money will support the clinic, and one third will support Pomegranate. Cost: $7-10 (no one turned away) Saturday, September 23rd | doors open at 7:30pm | at Women & Children First - 5233 N. Clark
